A consortium of 15 northern universities, we work closely with the creative and cultural industries to harness expertise in teaching, learning and research in areas such as journalism, visual arts and music.
We initiate projects which you can get involved in, see below for updates or Subscribe to receive notification of new training, events and programmes. There will be sponsored or discounted training places for all those working in the creative industries whether self-employed or employed. Places will be on a first come first served basis.

Northern Edge is working with theUniversity of the Arts London and Skillset to run 'Own It North' , a pilot legal advice service for small businesses in the North.

Are you a busines working in the creative or digital industries and based in the North?
Do you have an issue or question about intellectual property rights?
Then you can download free contracts, advice sheets etc from the Own It website

Do you have a turnover of £100,000 or less per year?
Then you're eligible to receive free advice via a seminar event or a free 45 minute one-to-one advice session with a top local law firm. Advice clinics and eminar events will take place this May and June.
