Arts and CultureUniversity of Northumbria

The Arts & Cultural Management strand uses Networking as a means to provide opportunities for continuing professional development within the cultural sector in the North of England and beyond.

The network engages across the breadth of the cultural sector, from individual practitioners, freelance workers and consultants through to cultural SMEs, and is thus inclusive and seeking to widen participation.

The Network provides the means to make available opportunities for training, individual assistance, business help, sourcing of information and/or resources as well as social interactions and thus creative development. The Network interacts continuously with other networks and professional bodies within the region.

Workshops and training opportunities will be advised, and the opportunities will be available as electronic workshops and occasional venue-based activities. Electronic information and resource packs will also available.

The network will be used to ensure exchanges between academic environments and the world of cultural practice and business and to disseminate best practice in ACM education, thus reinforcing the value of continual engagement and exchange.
